YAY to The Studio Performing Arts Center for coping with this last minute change of venue for the fun Peter Pan ballet.
Bath has a very nice auditorium, as many of you may remember from the Bath Community Theatre days, and NOT hard to find, on the main road - only 17 minutes from our house, north of east Lansing.
Here’s the latest:
So less than 24 hours after I sent the email about Peter Pan to you, we were informed by ELPS that the school technician would be unable to do our show. Because they won’t allow anyone else to take over the tech (from outside the district), we’ve had to move the show to the Bath Auditorium. Therefore, the new address (same times and dates) is:
Bath Middle School Auditorium, 13675 Webster Rd., Bath Mi 48808. Please adjust this on the Peter Pan info. Thanks again for your help!
Acorn kisses and Pirate schemes! What do a sassy crocodile, a bumbling pirate captain, a boy who won’t grow up, a beautiful, “motherly” girl, a mischievous fairy, a fierce Indian princess and a nervous pirate cook have in common? Neverland – and all the magic therein! Featuring a cast of dancers aged 5-70 and coming February 27 at 7pm and February 28 at 2pm to Bath Middle School Auditorium, don’t miss the The East Lansing Theatre and Dance Company’s production of “Peter Pan, Adventures in Neverland, an original ballet in one act”, conceived and directed by P.K. Van Voorhees, based on the original Peter Pan story by J.M. Barrie.
The story is told through a combination of physical theatre and ballet moves, as well as a helpful Narrator (Brandon Townsend). Cast includes Katie Knox as the athletic “Peter Pan”, Jim Brogan as the bumbling “Captain Hook”, Kaleel Van Voorhees as the playful “Tinker Bell”, Kelly Guess as the proud Indian Princess “Tiger Lily”, Mikaela McWethy as the sweet and gullible “Wendy”, Annie McIlhagga as the good-natured “John”, Mimi Parkerson as the brave “Michael”, Elsa Rusthoven as the nervous pirate cook “Smee”, Christen Chappelle as the helpful “Ralph”, Emily McWethy as the amenable “Crocodile” and the misbehaving “Shaddow”. “Lost Boys” are Caroline Ley, Gabriella Torgeson, Alyssa Forsyth, Maureen Rojewski, Miki Perdikakis and Alice Ribeiro, “Pirates” are Dave McWethy, Sam McIlhagga, Emma McIlhagga, Linda Webster, Lottie-Brooke Mims and Alaina Humphrey.
Show dates are Friday, February 27 at 7pm and Saturday, February 28 at 2pm, now at Bath Middle School Auditorium, 13675 Webster Rd., Bath Mi 48808
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance by calling 517-336-4088 or at the door 30 minutes prior to show.
