Last night Mark and I watched the episode of The Big C where the wonderful Laura Linney goes into hospice. Afterward, Mark saw the name Cindy Milstein in a New Yorker article about Occupy Wall Street, and googled her to see if she was THE Cindy Milstein who is one of Barb and Dave's four daughters — and she IS -- AND in the process, he found a blog she is writing regarding her dad's going into hospice.
I did talk to Barb on the phone a few weeks ago and knew that Dave did not seem to have a possibility of recovering after his severe West Nile Virus, and they were considering taking him off life support and entering hospice. Anyway, I know many of you have known the Milsteins for many many years since their involvement at the old Okemos Barn, and may find Cindy's eloquent essays touching. Look for them at:
