A beautiful solo piece about fathers and daughters. Winner of "Best Original Script" by San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle, BABA begins in the US Immigration office in the 1980's NYC. We fall in love with Mohammed, a father in America, struggling to get a US passport for his daughter before their upcoming trip back to Egypt. Freedom and family collide when his search for the American dream leads his American-born daughter on a quest home thirty years later.
This reading will be held in-person at the Williamston Theatre! No reservations necessary. Suggested donation of $10 at the door. Mark your calendar for the final Dark Nights in Billtown of the season - April 10.
