Pageant Play Auditions at LCC

2/1-2 - Lansing Community College Performing Arts
AUDITIONS: Pageant Play Directed by Paige Dunckel
Friday, February 1, 7-10 p.m. and Saturday, February 2, 1-4 p.m.
Gannon Building – Room 1422/Black Box Theatre

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Perusal scripts available for two-hour check out at the LCC library circulation desk.
   Production Dates: March 29-30, April 5-7 – Friday and Saturday @ 8 p.m. Sunday @ 2 p.m.

The Story:   Welcome to the hilarious, terrifying and surreal world of child beauty pageants. Pinky Corningfield will do anything to make sure her little angel wins the ultimate title, Supreme Queen. When Marge, a newcomer to the pageant circuit, shows up and starts grabbing all the glory, Pinky and her minions, Bob and Bobby, use some unorthodox methods in order to ensure her darling, Chevrolet, is victorious. Glitz. Glamour. Kidnapping. Money. Really, really small false teeth

Mid Michigan Dessert Theatre audition

1/15 - Auditions for MMFT's dessert theatre production of Murder at the Banquet will be held on Tuesday, January 15 starting at 6:30 p.m. at 2/42 Community Center located at 2630 Bennett Road. (The center is close to the roundabout near Hulett Road not at the church of the same name).

There are eight main characters to be cast. Rehearsals will be on Tuesdays with production dates March 1 and 2.

ONE MORE DAY OF AUDITIONS, Monday 1/7

We had a dearth of “Chelsea” auditioners for Starlight Dinner Theatre’s On Golden Pond directed by Linda Granger, Sunday Jan 6, and Monday, January 7 at 7 pm
Auditions Location: Rising Star Studio of Dance Arts, 526 Lentz Court 48917

Roles available:
Chelsea & Bill 35-50
Ethel 65-75

Feel free to come out for any of the above roles, but especially if you’re a woman who can play age 42 - The script describes her as “pretty, if perhaps the tiniest bit heavy, athletic, tan, with a nervous eagerness to her.” She brings her new dentist boyfriend, Bill, to meet parents, Ethel and Norman. It’s not a huge part, but significant.
