Actors needed for Ixion monologue reading

Ixion is seeking some volunteers to help give voice to the monologues from Ixion's Wheel writers group February 15 noon-3 pm at the CADL main branch for the freerUStstaged reading.

If you are interested in assisting with the reading, please reply to mailto:[email protected]with your interest. Ixion will email you with further details.
This FREE staged reading will explore monologues written by Ixion's writers group, The Wheel. Featuring scripts by O.G. Ueberroth, Kerry Waters, Janet Ehrlich Colson, Joy Bilbey, Adam Carlson, Sarah Smith, Jeff Croff and Alan Harris.

Performance Date: February 15, 2020
Time: Noon-3pm
Location: Capital Area District Library 401 S. Capitol Lansing, MI (Auditorium)

The readings will be in the library basement auditorium.

The readings are part of our development process for a full production of rUSt in May. Ixion anticipates auditions for the show in March.

Audio Air Force Casablanca/Bickersons

The Audio Air Force's next show will be on Valentine's Day! One Show Only!

…features one of the greatest love stories of all time...the radio version of "Casablanca". This is from the original network radio script broadcast in 1944. There will also be a classic episode of the romantic comedy - "The Bickerson's", along with an original script written for the Audio Air Force to use on Valentine's Day.

Audio Air Force offers an opportunity for actors who can’t commit the time for a memorized, fully-staged show, who want to hone their skills and have fun bringing to life a radio show in only a couple weeks’ time.

Auditionswill be - Jan. 28 and Jan 30 at the Haslett Library on Franklin Street in the Community Room. from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
Rehearsaldates are - Feb 4 and 6 - also Feb. 10,11,12,13
Performanceon Feb 14 at 7pm at the Robin Theatre in REO Town.

1/21-22 - Generations Community Theater will be holding their auditions for Stargirl at the Capital Area District Library - Downtown branch (located at 401 South Capitol Avenue, Lansing, Michigan 48933) On Jan 21st in Room B and Jan 22nd in the auditorium starting at 6:00PM!

We are looking for three young men (3M) and two young women (2W) that are of high school age (14-18) to fill our cast!

All is copacetic in the fall of the new school year as junior Leo Borlock settles in to produce his moderately populate school TV show, The Hot Seat, and keep himself safely behind the camera and out of anybody's line of fire. His safe existence implodes with the arrival of the weirdly fabulous Stargirl, whose impetus enthusiasm for all-things-Leo forces him to choose between his own secure conformity and the glories offered by the girl from the stars.

Leo Borlock: 16, Cameraman for The Hot Seat, doesn't want to stand out and draw attention to himself, perfectly fine with being an average student.

Kevin McKeon: 16, Leo's best friend and host of The Hot Seat, is perfectly happy with his place at school and is always willing to give Leo some advice.

Wayne Parr: 16, Popular boy at school, Hillary's boyfriend, always fashionable and concerned with maintaining his image.

Hillary: 16, Popular girl at school, Wayne's girlfriend, enjoys being the queen bee and wants to shine.

Stargirl: 15, Previously homeschooled, not bothered by others' opinions, has own unique style that she is unafraid to show.

Narrated by the omnipotent Stage Manager and anchored by the love story of young George Gibbs and Emily Webb, "Our Town" is a play about life: at once epic, ordinary, and fleeting.
