Williamston Theatre 2025-2026 Season General Auditions

The Williamston Theatre announces general auditions for its 2025-2026 season. Details are below. Auditions are in-person. Williamston Theatre is particularly seeking Michigan actors.  Out-of-town actors will be considered, but having your own vehicle is a necessity.

When: May 12, 2025:  4pm - 9pm
May 13, 2025: 10am - 3pm
By appointment only.
What to prepare: 2 contrasting, contemporary monologues. Total time 3 minutes.
How to schedule an appointment: Beginning Thursday, April 11 call 517-655-7469,  Tuesday – Fridays from 12:00-5:00PM
What to bring: 1 copy of your headshot and resume

We are auditioning for available roles in our upcoming 2025-2026 Season, understudy positions, and our staged reading series. Some roles in the season are unavailable because productions have been chosen for specific artists or are new scripts already being workshopped with a cast.

Thank You Ten! - collection of short scripts for Ixion Ensemble, celebrating their 10th season by reviving favorites from previous years’ short script writing contests.

Auditions Monday, 4/21 @ 7pm 
Sycamore Creek Church 1919 South Pennsylvania, Lansing (NOT the Stage One church performance location)
Auditions for "Thank You Ten!" will consist of readings from the 9 vignettes in the show.

Roles for the ensemble cast are open for all races, ages, and genders

Co-Director Heath Sartorius reports that while most of the casting is quite free there is a scene "Family Tradition" by O. G. Ueberroth that features a Hispanic mother and daughter. Welcoming ALL actors, but also specifically recruiting actresses that could fit for the scene to recommend auditions to them!

Sound of Music encouraging more MEN to sign up for Auditions:
Director, Helen Hart reports: Auditions for Evolve Theatrics' 20th anniversary production of The Sound of Music are fast approaching April 26-27. We are thrilled to see so many old and new names on our sign-up. However, we'd love to see more men! It should be noted that there are several roles for men which do not require singing. So, we would like to encourage non-singers to audition as well. 

The following roles are speaking roles only: Franz, Herr Zeller, Baron Elberfeld, and Von Schrieber.

We would also love to see a few more children sign up for auditions. In particular, we are looking for children to audition for the roles of Kurt (age 10) and Friedrich von Trapp (age 14). Prospective cast members do not need to be the exact age, just capable of portraying that age.

AUDITION REMINDER!

LCC will be holding auditions for their Summer Shakespeare production of Midsummer Night's Dream on Sunday, April 27 from 2-5pm in the Black Box Theatre at LCC, 1422 Gannon Building. The show is directed by Mary Job.   


Midsummer Night’s Dream tells the twisted and humorous tale of four love-swept Athenian youths escaping parental and royal matchmaking, a bickering fairy king and queen, a royal wedding, and a rambunctious group of working-class citizens aspiring to perform in the roles of their lifetimes. All these storylines collide in the mysterious and ancient Forest of Arden, where chaos ensues. 

Production dates are June 25-29 in the LCC outdoor amphitheater.  Rehearsals start May 15. 

If you are interested in auditioning, just prepare a short Shakespeare monologue (Approximately 10 lines from any Shakespeare play. (You can also use any of the monologues in the audition sides, listed below)
