The Audio Air Force will Present a World-Premiere Live Audio Adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s "The Haunting of Hill House" this October
Lansing-based theater group The Audio Air Force is excited to announce upcoming live performances of an audio adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s classic horror novel, “The Haunting of Hill House.” Performances will be held at the Hannah Community Center in East Lansing on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 at 7pm.  


This immersive experience will transport audiences into the chilling world of Hill House, where a group of individuals gather to investigate the haunted mansion’s dark secrets. The Audio Air Force has secured first-time rights to produce an audio version of the story from F. Andrew Leslie’s stage adaptation of the novel. Listeners can expect suspenseful storytelling, chilling sound effects, and haunting music that will create a truly immersive experience.


“We are excited to bring this timeless horror story to our community in a new and exciting format,” said Dave Downing, Founder and Executive Director of AAF. “It’s a real honor for Audio Air Force and a coup for Lansing to be the first city to host this adaptation, just in time for Halloween!”

AUDITIONS 9/23 & 24 - 7pm -Auditions for “Haunting of Hill House” at Edgewood Community Church; 469 Hagadorn, East Lansing - performers will read from scripts in the tradition of radio theatre.

Auditions for She Kills Monsters - Ixion Ensemble 
10/14 5:30PM to 7:30PM

Continuing our 10th season celebration, we're bringing back an audience favorite "She Kills Monsters" by Qui Nguyen, one of our most produced playwrights.  During it's initial run, audiences in Lansing and Indianapolis enjoyed this geeky comedy featuring dragons, demons, a foul mouthed fairy and other Dungeons and Dragons favorites. All with an abundance of stage combat and pop culture references.

We're putting together a new adventuring party to take on this quest.

While the auditions are early to accommodate costume builds and the holidays, the show will run January 24, 25, 26, 31, February 1 & 2 at Stage One at Sycamore Creek Eastwood on Lake Lansing Road. Performances at 7PM Friday and Saturday 3PM on Sunday. In January rehearsals will run in the evenings Monday through Thursday. A table read and fittings will be held in the fall based upon availability.

Auditions will be cold reads. Regardless of implied age, all ages are encouraged to audition.

The show will be directed by Ixion Artistic Director jeff croff with fight choreography by Tobin Bates.

Cosplay by Blair Ingenthron synopsis: Leslie meets Michael in "Zombie Apocalypse," an online role-playing game where the human race is under attack and anyone can be anyone with the ease of a single click. Their bond over a mutual enemy quickly turns into a game-playing partnership, but when a video game convention brings them face to face in real life, they find that fighting zombies is far less complicated than human connection.
