Auditions - Nov 9 and 10 (a Tuesday and Wednesday) from 6-8pm
Rehearsals - Nov 15, 16,17, 18 from 6:30pm to 9pm

IXION Auditions for Begets: Fall of a High School Ronin

Audition Date: November 7
Audition Time: 5:30-8 PM
Location: Lansing Mall5330 W Saginaw Hwy, Lansing, MI 48917 (The former Tequila Cowboy/Overdrive location. Exterior entrance at the Northwest corner of the mall)

In this action-packed samurai story set inside the halls of an all-American high school, Begets: Fall of a High School Ronin tells the tale of Emi Edwards, a high school geekgurl whose fighting to overthrow the cruel shoguns of her school. However in her journey to right wrongs, will her own cravings for popularity and power corrupt her quest to save the school? Will she able to establish a new world order? Or will violence just beget more violence?
Please Note: While set in a high school, depending upon the audition pool we may have to pull a 90210 (the original, not the reboot) and cast older actors in some of the student roles. Also many roles may be combined to reduce overall cast size.

Auditioners will be performing cold reads from the script and are asked to attend the entire audition time. Masks will be required for unvaccinated participants.

Many of the roles will require stage combat. Prior experience isn't necessary, but certainly appreciated.

If you are unable to attend the audition, other arrangements can be made prior if necessary.

Auditions will be held in the former Overdrive/Tequila Cowboy location located on the northwest corner of the Lansing Mall. Use Overdrive's exterior entrance. There will not be access from within the mall.

Casting Call for Film

My name is Alex Ruff, I'm a producer at a local commercial production company called Cold Box Films. I'm reaching out to see if you have any company members that would be interested in coming out for a shoot we're putting on next Friday.

We'll be shooting at the State Capitol in the morning on Friday, 10/22, from about 9 am until roughly 12 pm. We're offering $20 for all participants and will be providing lunch when we wrap up filming. We're staging a rally -- participants will not need to bring any props of any kind, as we'll provide generic signage.

Let me know if you're aware of anyone who might be interested. We're hoping to get at least 50 people out there for this, and as of right now I'm hovering at around 25-30. Appreciate it, and wishing you well!
