For the upcoming audio theater show "1984". We still have some openings for character voices, both male and female.
With doing audio theater there is no memorizing lines (you read from the script); there are no stage actions (the sound effects crew does all of the 'action' for you).
If someone might be interested in more information on getting involved have them contact me. Thanks!

3/19-20 - Andromeda Community Theatre announces open auditions for an evening of Christopher Durang’s plays, under our title “The Actor’s Twilight Zone”.
Christopher Durang is an American playwright known for works of outrageous and often absurd comedy, such as “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike”.
“The Actor’s Twilight Zone” will begin with “For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls”. In this parody of “The Glass Menagerie”, the fading Southern belle, Amanda, tries to prepare her hyper-sensitive, hypochondriac son, Lawrence, for "the feminine caller." Terrified of people, Lawrence plays with his collection of glass cocktail stirrers. Ginny, the feminine caller, is hard of hearing and overbearingly friendly. Brother Tom wants to go the movies, where he keeps meeting sailors who need to be put up in his room. Amanda tries to face everything with "charm and vivacity," but sometimes she just wants to hit somebody.
After that, our hero finds himself in “The Actor’s Nightmare”, a hilarious but perhaps threatening spoof which details the plight of a stranger who is suddenly pushed on stage to replace an ailing actor.
We will be casting up to eight people, both male and female, of ages 20-ish through middle age.
Auditions are scheduled for Monday, March 19 and Tuesday, March 20 at 6pm at Windwalker Underground Galleries, 125 S Cochran, Charlotte. All community members interested in performing or volunteering for this production should attend at least one of these open auditions. No experience is necessary!
"The Actor’s Twilight Zone" will be performed at Windwalker Underground Galleries Friday through Sunday May 4th-6th, and also Friday through Sunday May 11-13.
Perusal scripts are available at the Charlotte Community Library, Delta Township District Library, and the Grand Ledge Area District Library. Please be prepared for cold reads during auditions.
