Erin and Paul have just gotten married and couldn't be more excited.  Ron and Diane have been married for years and aren't
so excited anymore.  Poignant and hilarious, MARRIED ALIVE! uses a series of vignettes to affectionately explore the adventure
of marriage. From honeymooning to "honey, not tonight," from couples therapy to Christmas with the in-laws,
from first pregnancy to dealing with teenagers, this musical comedy has it all.

3/30 - AUDITIONS - Over the Ledge will be holding open auditions for "A Wrinkle in Time" on Sunday, March 30th at 7pm. If you are unable to audition at this time, please contact us and we will try to work out an appointment.

Rehearsals will be held within Lansing until a few weeks prior to production, when everything will move out to the Ledges Playhouse in Grand Ledge.

Please prepare at least 16 bars of a song to audition with. An accompanist will be provided. You may be required to learn a small dance. Cold readings from the script will also be part of the audition. If possible, please bring a resume and a headshot (a single copy will suffice), but these are not required.

Synopsis

A musical comedy celebration of American ideals and foibles in the Eisenhower era. Songs, dances, and laughs abound in the unlikeliest of settings as the Cold War and space race paranoia threaten the good folks at the fictional Milwaukee Space Center in 1955, where the staff is all abuzz at the arrival of rocket scientist Trenton Corbett. The budding romance of Trenton and Mary—the daughter of Space Center commander Major Malone—is jeopardized when a flying saucer lands in Milwaukee. The craft is piloted by Zombina, a buxom alien aviatrix bent on procuring he-specimens to re-populate her planet. 
Can Mary uphold her lady-like demeanor while using her facile intelligence to save Milwaukee from a Red Menace and a flying saucer invasion? Can plucky delivery boy Billy ever get secretary Charlene to notice his tap-dancing charms?? Can the stalwart men of Milwaukee survive brainwashing by a musical menace from another world who gives new meaning to "stratospheric" soprano??? 
Taking its cue from pulp movies popular at the time, ZOMBIES FROM THE BEYOND brings the 1950s nostalgically and hilariously to life with a tuneful, toe-tapping score.

Character Descriptions:

TRENTON CORBETT (20-40; baritone) Dashing leading man. Trenton is the new scientist at the Space Center.

RICK JONES (20-40; baritone) A military man, who is actually a Russian spy (complete with a fake accent).

BILLY KRUTZIK (20-30; tenor; tap dance) The delivery boy with a crush on the secretary, he tries to warm her heart with a tap routine.

MAJOR MALONE (40-60; bass-baritone) Mary's father. He is the military leader of the Milwaukee Space Center.

MARY MALONE (20-40; soprano) Major Malone's daughter. Leading lady and all-around genius, she is the perfect 1950's woman and has her eye on Trenton.

CHARLENE "CHARLIE" OSMANSKI (20-40) The quirky, comedic secretary who is looking for a man.

ZOMBINA (any age; high soprano) The villainous alien who arrives in Milwaukee bent on domination of all men.
