WHEN I COME TO DIE tells the story of Damon Robinson, a death-row inmate who struggles to find faith and hope and understand why his life has been spared after he survives a lethal injection.
THE AUTHOR: Nathan Louis Jackson attended Kansas State University and trained at The Juilliard School. He is a two-time AFA Prose Interpretation champion, a two-time Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award winner, a Mark Twain Comedy Playwriting Award winner, and a recipient of the Kennedy Center’s Gold Medallion. Ixion audiences will recognize him as the playwright of the award-winning "Broke-ology".
Directing this production is the multi-talented Rose Jangmi Cooper, who was recently named an Ixion Associate Artistic Producer.

Roles Available: 4 men, 1 woman - Two of the roles are specifically African American (Damon and Chantel); the other three are open, though we highly encourage artists of color to audition for all of our roles.
