Bob directed Linda in many shows, notably Riverwalk’s Black Box at the Creole two-actress show ’night Mother, with Tina Brenner. She was also a part of Bob’s Under Milk Wood and A Wilde Time ensembles. Bob directed her at Spotlight Theatre in the tour de force Come Back Little Sheba. Riverwalk main stage credits include Broadway Bound, The Importance of Being Earnest, Table for Six, For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, The Trip to Bountiful, Later Life, And a Merry Christmas to You, Too!, Bus Stop, Prelude to a Kiss, Noises Off, and Dark of the Moon.
Linda’s long career spanned many roles at Lansing Civic, Spotlight, BoarsHead, and Riverwalk. She also appeared professionally for five seasons at Sister Lakes, Michigan; three seasons at the Red Barn in Saugatuck; and one season at the Petoskey Playhouse. An award-winning actress, she also excelled in set dressing.
Linda is featured on the page of frequent contributors to Lansing theater, at Matt Ottinger’s database lansingcommunitytheater.com. Click the “10-20-30” link to see the most frequent contributors. That list is impressive, and Linda’s acting career extends well before the database began.
We will honor this departed talent at a memorial service in the lobby of Riverwalk Theatre on Saturday, February 16 at noon, followed by a reception at Emil’s restaurant on Michigan Avenue.
