So, this can't count as one of my regular reviews, as it is too late to affect future theatre goers. Still, I enjoyed Faye Sholiton's complex tapestry interweaving three generations of mother/daughters with their secrets and criticisms and defensiveness... and love. One line that stood out for me was something like, "only imperfect people can understand unconditional love." Kudos to director Jeff Magnuson and his cast: Eve Davidson, Amy Rickett and Michelle Lerma.
And kudos, also, to the late Bob Gras and everyone else at RWT who worked so hard to get the Black Box Stage created as an arena for what's unusual, esoteric, appealing to narrower audiences than a main-stage show — and offering opportunities for new scripts like this one to come to life.
