I have special nostalgia for this script since played "Pooh" 35 years ago, and my first husband was the dreaded "Kanga." It's a charming story, and this cast did a fine job. The set was simple and woodsy with the prerequisite rabbit hole for Pooh to get stuck in (Justin Brewer) and the makeup (Morgan Lees) and animal costumes (Katy Kettles) were wonderful and varied. We particularly loved the snail (Marley Saros) with her slow-motion chase-scene panic.
Kudos to sweet Pooh (Katie Lewis) panicky Piglet (Paige Smith) energetic Rabbit (Ava Brewer) depressed Eeyore (Roshawndra Thomas) and pretentious Owl (Ayden Soupal) - and of course to the departing Evelyn Weymouth for directing this show and for creating this company 25 years ago.
FINAL SHOWS tomorrow (Saturday the 15th) at 2 and 4:30 pm at Hannah Center on Abbot Road.
