It’s an hour and a half of energetic, whimsical charm as each Wally Pleasant song tells a new story. Against a retro 90’s set rich with props and nostalgic posters (set by Adam Carlson, Tom Ferris, Leroy Cupp) four outstanding actor-singers win our hearts: Storm Kopitsch, Courtlandt Lyons, Anasti Her and Jeff Kennedy romp and roll through the quirky, fun songs with imaginative blocking/choreography that brings each song to life. Kudos to director Adam Carlson and this collaborative cast. Their voices are great but it’s the characters they create that keep us smiling throughout.
Wally Pleasant was/is a local star, MSU student and open mic performer in the 90’s and beyond. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wally_Pleasant Introspective and a little jaded, but with a gentle humor, his songs are still relevant to the continuing human insanities that bind us all. You’ll enjoy such hits as Psycho Roommate, The Day Ted Nugent Killed All the Animals, Stupid Day Job, Dysfunctionally Yours, Denny’s at Four A.M, and many more.
