Homegrown Productions Announces Auditions March 9 and 11 for comedy “Leaving Iowa”
Leaving Iowa is a toast to the greatest generation, their idealism and character, and a lighthearted roast of their undying dedication to the classic family road trip. Homegrown Productions seeks 6 – 26 actors (that’s the number, not their ages!) for this production, with performance dates April 26 – May 2.
The four main characters, Mom, Dad, Don, and Sis, remain consistent throughout the play. Their present/flashback/memories introduce 20 delightful character roles that can be played by two actors or up to 20. This is a great chance to try something new, or dust off your acting chops, or to see how many personalities you can bring to one production. The more people in the cast, the fewer lines to learn! We welcome actors age 18 – 99. All rehearsals take place on stage at the Wilson Center Auditorium.
