We’ve had a fun time juggling dates/days on Riverwalk's Kinky Boots! They’ve been Dec 19-20 & 18-19 and Sunday Monday or Monday Tuesday with right numbers/wrong days… aaah! But director/theatre/GLUT and all have finally got it pinned down!

Charlie Price has reluctantly inherited his father's shoe factory, which is on the verge of bankruptcy. Trying to live up to his father's legacy and save his family business, Charlie finds inspiration in the form of Lola, a fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos. As they work to turn the factory around, this unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they realized... and discover that when you change your mind, you can change your whole world.

As we seek to honor the artistic intent of authors Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein, Lola/Simon (both young and old) will be cast using BIPOC actors, and our Angels will be male-identifying actors in drag.

Young Lola/Simon: Lola as a ten year old boy who already knows he's destined to wear high heels. BIPOC

Nicola: Charlie's long-term girlfriend. Driven, uncompromising.

Don: Lola's nemesis. Burly hypermasculine bear of a factory worker. Sings up to D5 for the finale.

Harry: A contemporary of Charlie's but his opposite. Successful, self aware and confident.

Richard Bailey: Nicola's boss. An overtly attractive and successful man.

Ensemble: Hooligans, Factory Workers, Pub Patrons, Photographers, Club Patrons


Please come prepared with a 32-bar cut (1-2 minutes of music) of a song that shows of your vocal range and acting ability. Accompanist will be provided, as will a bluetooth speaker to play a backing track. 

We will dance first so please plan to come ready to start at 7 pm. Wear clothes and shoes that are comfortable to move in. You do not need to attend both audition nights.

​Kinky Boots is looking for a few more Angels for the Riverwalk show performing  in March! 

The age range is 20-40, ALL body types, ethnicities, and abilities are welcome. We're looking for male-identifying/presenting performers with incredible stage presence, who are strong dancers and sing well. 

In particular, we're looking for a high tenor.

Auditions for Begets: Fall of a High School Ronin

Location: Capital Area District Library Auditorium 401 S. Capitol Lansing, MI

Ixion Ensemble is pleased to (finally) be bringing Qui Nguyen's "mean girls meets seven samurai" romp to Lansing and we need actors for a variety of roles.
This is an ensemble cast. Actors will be playing multiple roles. Roles are available for all ages.
Auditioners will take part in cold reads from the script.
Rehearsals will begin in January and run Monday-Thursday in the evenings.
Performance Dates are March 17, 18, 24 & 25 at 8 PM.
Some stage combat may be required.
This production will be co-directed by Ixion Artistic Director jeff croff and Leo Poroshin. Fight choreographers will be Storm & Richard Kopitsch.
