Evolve Theatrics is looking for one more cast member to round out their cast for Chicago, The Musical. 

We are looking for someone to play the role of Mary Sunshine. This role is traditionally played as a male, masquerading as the female reporter Mary Sunshine. Her deception is revealed by Billy Flynn during the courtroom "circus" scene. 

Ideally, we are looking for someone with a high falsetto voice. Mary Sunshine has a fun solo, called "A Little Bit of Good”.

Please join us for auditions for the first production in our season. This show will be the Ixion directing debut for Janell Hall, who is coming off a highly acclaimed performance in last season's "When I Come to Die".

Auditions will be held in the basement auditorium of the downtown Lansing CADL branch,.
Rehearsals will begin in January.
Performances are March 1, 2, 8 & 9 at 8 PM
All performances will be at Lansing's newest performance space Stage One @ Sycamore Creek

​Auditions for Evolve Theatrics production of Chicago, The Musical are fast approaching. We are looking for cast members of all ages and genders to tell this story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and treachery-all those things we hold near and dear to our heart.
The production team of Chicago wants to encourage prospective cast members to not let a fear of dance/movement prevent them from signing up to audition. Much of the choreography won’t be created until the show has been cast and the team knows who will be in the show. The style of dance the choreographer is interested in working with for Chicago is not a traditional musical theatre style, with lots of leaps, turns, kicks, and large, grand movements. Rather, we will be working in a movement world adjacent to the original Fosse style - with more of a focus on creating shapes with the body and new, interesting ways of moving through space. Choreographer, Andrew Muylle, plans to leverage the strengths of each individual cast member to make the choreography “make sense” on their body.

Auditions will be held on October 13th and 14th 6:30-10 by appointment, see link below,

Callbacks will take place on October 15th.
