1/16-17 -If you always sing along with “Some Enchanted Evening,” The Surrey With the Fringe on Top,” or “Hello, Young Lovers,” Homegrown Productions invites you to audition for “A Grand Night for Singing.” This musical revue by Rodgers and Hammerstein arranges more than 30 classic and lesser-known songs into a romantic journey that grows from young infatuation to the power of enduring love.
Auditions take place on January 16 and 17 at 7 pm at the Wilson Center Auditorium, 101 W. Cass St. in St. Johns. Performance dates are March 17, 18, 24, 25 and 26. Original casting requirements call for baritone and tenor male voices, soprano, second soprano and alto female voices. Auditioners are asked to prepare a vocal piece that demonstrates their range.
