Based on the 1988 MGM film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels takes us to the French Riviera for high jinks and hilarity where two con men, a beautiful woman and the local elite collide in the sexy and irreverent farce.
Cast of Characters:
Lawrence Jamison: 60ish – elegant, refined, cultured. Channel your inner David Niven.
Freddy Benson: 30ish – brash, uncultured, the polar opposite of Lawrence Jamison but sly & cunning.
Christine Colgate: 30ish – very attractive scoundrel, but also convincingly naïve, innocent, and gullible.
Andre Thibault: between 40 & 60 – well dressed, savvy, smart enough to be sidekick and wing man to Lawrence.
Muriel: a woman of a “certain age” (middle aged), very wealthy, classy, but gullible – one of Lawrence’s “marks”.
Jolene: a young heiress, spoiled by her father, who has been married a number of times and is lining up Lawrence as her next one!
Ensemble:
Lenore: between 35&60 – another of Lawrence’s “marks”
Sophia: between 35&60 – another of Lawrence’s “marks”
Renee: 30ish – somewhat wealthy; conned by Freddie
Croupier: old enough to gamble, but not old enough to retire – runs the roulette wheel
Hotel Manager: 40 to 60 – corruptible enough to point Lawrence towards wealthy single women.
Conductor: between 20&60
Waiter: any age
Nun: between 25&60
Maid: between 30 to whatever
Hotel Guests & Patrons of the casino: – wealthy
Other Civilians: – working class, but classy enough to serve the rich & famous
