(the first of Riverwalk Theatre's Michigan Summer Staged Reading Events - featuring NEW, unpublished scripts!)
Thursday, July 22 at 7 pm
Join us for "Ichabod," written by Michigan-based playwright Joseph Zettelmaier (a favorite playwright at Williamston Theatre) and directed by Sue Chmurynsky, on Riverwalk's outdoor stage (in front of our building and Impression 5), as the first event in our series of Michigan Summer Staged Readings! The reading will begin at 7 p.m.
Plot:
It's a blustery October night in 1810. A tiny roadside tavern just outside of a the quiet village of Sleepy Hollow is visited by a strange man with an even stranger tale. Twenty years earlier, this fellow had a ghostly encounter with the Headless Horseman, and his story has now become legend. But not all tales are told truthfully, and Ichabod Crane has returned to the town that cast him out to finally get his revenge.
