2 Saturdays; one-time shows

9/26/2022

Saturday, October 1 at 7 pm is the staged reading of THE VOTE, an original play by Stephen Yelon based on Rev. Truman Morrison’s experience integrating an all-white church in a Chicago suburb in 1954. He later became minister of Edgewood United Church on Hagadorn, the very location where this presentation will be staged. Free admission and refreshments. (See attached flyer)

Saturday, October 8 at 7pm is the World Premiere staged reading of Roger Rochowiak’s new script, “Social Distancing, or How to Kill a Party” at Riverwalk Theatre. This comedy touches on both COVID crankiness and family dynamic challenges — with Roger’s signature folksy flair. Local actors will spend the day under the direction of Tom Ferris developing this performance, which will be videotaped for use for future promotion purposes. Free admission with donations accepted to the generous host: Riverwalk Theatre.

Attached is the “brochure” I prepped for my “master calendar” that post at http://www.greaterlansingtheatre.net and send to Theatre Leaders month by month to see if there are additions/changes. Manager Mike has generously copied some for the Riverwalk lobby rack.

Here is the pdf file for YOU to print out or save for reference. Subject to change…. and yes, I am WORKING on getting each event posted on the website. I've got it up through December, anyway. (I need a “secretary”…)
