Costume Helpers Needed for Spamalot

4/23/2018

Calling all artsy-craftsy HELPERS!

Spamalot is Riverwalk's big finish for this season.
It is a huge, huge costume heavy show, that opens June 7.
There is very little that the costume shop has enough of for our ensemble numbers.

We need crafty people with sewing knowhow and a sewing machine and crafters willing to cut, glue and create.
Not everyone needs to know how to sew on a machine.....there will be plenty of pattern cutting, pinning, hand sewing, gluing....etc.

There will be tons of costumes, hats and helmet building.
I have secured the board room in my office building if we need it, which has 40 tables for us to organize costume building.

Contact Head Costumer Kris Maier via email or text with what you are willing to help with.

After hearing from people, I will put together a work list with dates so that we can make this epic.

One Slight Hitch comes to Starlight Dinner Theatre

5/4-12 - One Slight Hitch brings laughs to Starlight Dinner Theatre

From award-winning stand-up comedian and “Daily Show” correspondent Lewis Black comes a hilarious play about how even the perfect plans can go awry with “One Slight Hitch.” “This play is reminiscent of ‘The Philadelphia Story,’ which I starred in with Ledges Playhouse in Grand Ledge,” said Director Mona Gille. “I hope our audiences enjoy stepping back in time to enjoy this fun and fast-paced show.”

It’s 1981 in suburban Ohio, and Courtney (Rebecca Williams) is getting married to logical, well-to-do Harper (Joe Clark). Courtney’s mother, Delia (Linda Granger), is trying to make sure everything is perfect for the big day, while father Doc (Chris Klaver) is concerned with his old fishing gear and his treasured azaleas. Along for the ride are Courtney’s two sisters: 16-year-old P.B. (Monica Holland) who spends most of her time jamming out to her Walkman, and 20-something Melanie (Carin McEvoy), who’s casual when it comes to sex but serious when it comes to drinking. Everything’s on schedule until an unexpected guest arrives: Courtney’s ex-boyfriend, Ryan (Tyler Frease ), coincidentally in the neighborhood and unaware of the impending nuptials.

“We have a delightful cast made up of actors new to the stage, some studying theatre, and some veterans,” Director Mona Gille added. “All are working hard to bring you a great performance.”
DATES: May 4-6, 11 & 12
RATED: PG

Menu: Hors d’oeuvres: Fruit and Cheese
Entrée: Beef Lasagna Roll-up Served with: Steamed Broccoli, Garlic Bread and Salad
