Where: The English Inn, Eaton Rapids, MI
The American Shakespeare Collective is growing, and we’d like to count you as our friend.
Please join us for an evening of fine dining and entertainment at the beautiful English Inn in Eaton Rapids as we give our first sneak peek at our upcoming production of Invierno, a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale by playwright José Cruz González. Meet the playwright, Artistic Director Tommy A. Gomez, and collective members as we compare The Winter’s Tale and Invierno.
The evening’s entertainment includes a stage combat demonstration by members of the Society of American Fight Directors, and an excerpt from the magical realism play Old Jake’s Skirts written by José Cruz González and performed by students of Eaton Rapids Island City Academy.
The stunning ballroom at The English Inn features mirrors, tapestries, and artwork that intertwine with huge arched windows framing spectacular views of the fifteen acre estate. While you’re here, take some time to stroll through the meticulously restored formal English gardens that surround the Inn, and enjoy a glass of wine from the Inn’s award-winning cellars.
