That's right...Sleepy Hollow, Washington Irving’s classic story, is coming to the Riverwalk Theatre October 18 through 27.
In this adaptation by Director Tom Ferris, Washington Irving (Alex Freeman) narrates his story of gullible and superstitious Ichabod Crane (David Bolton) who arrives as the new schoolmaster for the children of Sleepy Hollow. He survives the pranks of Brom Bones (Brett Robertson) and the Sleepy Hollow Boys, and woos Katrina Van Tassel (Heather Harper), the daughter of the richest family in town. His fortunes change after a midnight encounter with the Headless Horseman. Audiences arriving early for performances will be invited to tour the gently haunted village of Sleepy Hollow and meet some of the town’s interesting residents.
Other cast members include: Michael Erwine, Kristeen Pecora, Vivian Nash, Yvonne Gonzales, Kyle Sodman, Robert Aultz, Jason Herington, Antonio Zappa, Marie Papciak, Sandy Thomasson, Bobby Maldonado, Anna Maier, Kevin Parson, Diane Cook, Lisa Gries, Hannah Jones, Danny Ferris, Olivia Sowa and Jeff Boerger.
Ferris’ adaptation of Washington Irving’ tale has plenty of laughs for children and adults, and inserts some surprises that will surely delight audiences. This production is best suited for school age children and their families.
