Homegrown Productions presents the holiday classic “It’s a Wonderful Life” on December 13-15 at the Wilson Center Auditorium. This 1940s style radio-on-stage adaptation by Tony Palermo features a stage full of actors reading from authentically formatted radio scripts in front of microphones. Live sound effects artists perform the door knocks, bell ringing, fights, and more. The production stars A.S. Freeman from Holt as George Bailey, Amelia Rogocka from Lansing as Mary Hatch Bailey, and St. Johns residents Tom Webb as Clarence and John Gross as the Superintendent of Angels. Cast members playing multiple roles are Ariana Balogh, Marci Balogh, Marsha Brook, Al Chadwick, Charles P. Graham, Beverly Gross, Jim Gunther, Michael Nelson and Darryl Schmitz.
Tickets are $10 for regular admission and $5 for students and seniors and can be purchased at Wilson Center, 101 Cass St., St. Johns. Performances are at 7:30 pm on December 13 and 14 and 2 pm on December 15. Proceeds from this production go directly to improvements to the Wilson Center Auditorium.
