A Streetcar Named Desire is one of the great classics of American theatre. This Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play reveals to the very depths the character of Blanche du Bois, a woman whose life has been undermined by her romantic illusions, leading her to reject the realities of life. The pressure from living with her sister, Stella and Stella's husband, Stanley, leads to the revelation of Blanche’s tragic self-delusion and, in the end, to madness.
The cast features LCC students Anna Szabo as Blanche DuBois and Sarah Lynn Wilke as Stella Kowalski. Playing Stanley Kowalski, a character made iconic on film by Marlon Brando, is Michael McCallum. McCallum is an alum of LCC’s Theatre Studio Program and a successful independent filmmaker. Other cast members include Zach Riley (Mitch), Nick Lemmer (Pablo), Danica O’Neill (Eunice), Connor Kelly (Steve), and Jessica Andrews, Hunter Folleth and Dakota Jarrad all playing multiple roles.
