This event celebrates Karaoke addict Tim Beam's 500th song - for a good cause! (As you may know, local actor Tim lost his wife to cancer earlier this year.) A group of talented musicians are coming together to create a fundraising film to battle cancer. The filming process is set to begin at 3:00 p.m. After which there will be open karaoke for all to enjoy.
Performers: Evan Pinsonnault, Gordon Clark, Joe Grover, Ian (Meester Wolf) Griffin, Michael Keifer, and Tim Beam. They will ask that the audience refrain from talking during the approximately half-hour videotaped portion of the celebration, since they are working on a finished video to present to the American Cancer Society.
This event is free to attend. Donations will be accepted and all the proceeds will be forwarded to the American Cancer Society. Because Best Western has graciously donated the time and space, are opening up early, and paying extra staff to be on hand, I do ask that people do buy drinks, if not food. They Do Have Good Food! So if you are hungry? Partake! I do want to remind everyone, You don't have to hold a microphone to have a Blast at this event! Spectators as well as singers are welcome.
Jay, our Karaoke DJ, has volunteered, also, and is working for just the spirit of the cause along with all of the Singers! We will have a Cancer representative present to take Cash, Checks, and hopefully, Credit Cards. Most such events would charge a cover charge but ours is free admission. Please come out and join in on the fun! Have a good time, and don't forget to tip the Wait Staff.
