10/12 - As many of you have heard, renowned director, actress, scenographer and pillar of local theatre, Addiann Hinds died of lung cancer on September 22. Addi was a widely respected director with credits including Riverwalk productions At Home at the Zoo and All in the Timing, Seascape; Becky’s New Car, Sherlock Holmes, the Final Adventure; Man from Nebraska; Fuddy Meers; and Beyond Therapy.
A noted actress as well, she won a Barney and Thespie for her performance as “Martha” in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? She received two more acting Thespies for Elizabeth Rex and Rabbit Hole, both at Peppermint Creek Theatre. Rabbit Hole also won her a Pulsar Award. The Lansing Theatre community will sorely miss her talents and her wonderful spirit.
A Memorial for Addiann has been scheduled for Sunday, October 12th, 6:00 p.m., at the James B. Henry Center for Executive Development, 3535 Forest Rd., Lansing in the Atrium (Room A150).
