The team that brought you "Prometheus Bound" is back at it again with the Oedipus Cycle, a three-part series of Sophocles' classic plays. "Antigone" is the final play in this series and will stream live to our Facebook page.

SYNOPSIS: Antigone attempts to secure a respectable burial for her brother Polynicesas promised before he died, a promise she is determined to fulfill despite the orders of Creon that the body lie unburied. Defying the orders, Antigone does what she knows to be right no matter what it may cost her. When she is caught, will Creon listen to the pleas of mercy or allow his pride to destroy what is left of his family and Thebes?
NOTE: This play contains sensitive subject matter and may not be suitable for all ages. Parental guidance suggested.

Current LCC theatre students and alumni come together for this original production, written and performed by students. Considering current world events, student contributors chose the theme of “change” for this production and have written original scenes, monologues and poetry.
This free event will be live streamed on the program’s Facebook page and will be followed by a brief Q & A with the show’s creators. Passwords will not be necessary to view the performance.
