CHICAGO, The Musical is coming to a stage near you the first weekend in March! This production is being brought to the Lansing area by the Blue Light Players. You won’t want to miss this theatrical masterpiece which has thrilled audiences with it fabulous array of musical and dance acts and its satirical plot line since it first opened on Broadway in 1975. The revival production in 1996 was the winner of six Tony awards, more than any other revival in the history of Broadway.
The Blue Light Players, a non-profit musical theater company which raises money for the families of fallen Michigan police officers, have assembled an extremely talented and multi-generational cast for their inaugural full-length musical theater production. The Blue Light Players chose this highly-entertaining musical for its thought-provoking satire which highlights the glamorizing of criminals in modern society. Criminals become superstars when the news of their crimes becomes sensationalized.
