Okay, this is not a “review” since Guest Reviewer Tom has already sung his praises of Peppermint Creek’s Daddy Long Legs

But we saw it tonight — and loved it — so I have to add my 2¢:
Rachel Daugherty and Jake Przybyla are truly ACTOR-singers, bringing great character and chemistry to their roles.
The wonderful set is a combo of realistic early 20th century library/office — with a collection of large trunks that add to the period look but also function as black-box set-pieces and props/costumes storage. This genius setup allows for a seamless flow through many places and times, aided by creative lighting. Yay, director.set/props designer Chad Badgero — (and Light Guru Joe Dickson.)
The venue is small-ish - 60-70 seats - and is selling out, as it should, so make your reservations!
Daddy Long Legs runs Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m., Feb. 9 – 12 and 16 - 19, at Bestsellers Books & Coffee Co., 360 S Jefferson, Mason MI 48854. (Muffins, lattes and beer were great, too!)
