If any of you haven't seen TRUE WEST, it is a disturbing/funny/crazy script and I am anticipating a dangerous production by these two STARS of MSU's recent years - seen in some Williamston shows, too. Don't miss this unique opportunity to see a mind-bending, typewriter-destroying, toaster-collecting show before Zev and Andy leave for eventual stardom elsewhere... I'm predicting. (The show also features Katie Maggart and Emily Sutton-Smith.)
When a mother leaves for an Alaskan vacation, her home is taken over by the unexpected and uncomfortable reunion of her two sons. As their time together grows more entwined, the fractured nature of their relationship brings about a collision of their disparate personalities. The brothers realize they're chasing each other in hopes of clinging to what they believe the other has found. By the end, they reach their animalistic cores: unadulterated images of what remains pure in the American West. This Pulitzer-Prize-nominated play reveals how far two brothers will be driven in their desperate search for identity.
