It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the news we’re sure you knew would be coming: the Board of Directors has elected to cancel the remainder of our 31st season. You may already be aware that our friends at All-of-Us Express Children’s Theatre have cancelled their production The Fantastic Mr. Foxscheduled for our Rotary Main Stage this month. Because pre-production of Doubt: A Parablewas well underway before the impact of COVID-19, we have decided to postpone it until next season with the original cast and production team; it will replace Admissions. We will not be reschedulingA Hotel on Marvin Gardens,orShrek the Musicaland we will not be able to host our young artisan workshop this summer. Our hearts are broken for the many people who have already put in so much work on these productions.
We are fiercely hoping our upcoming season will not be impacted so far as to warrant the cancellation of productions. Therefore,in lieu of refunding the cost of individual tickets from your season package, we’ve extended the use for any remaining tickets this season for a similar show next season. When you choose to continue your seasonal subscription for Season 32, you can still use these remaining Season 31 tickets for friends and family. Example: Save your coupon for Shrek the Musicaland when you use your Season 32 ticket coupon to see Sweeney Todd, your second coupon can be used for a guest.
While we will be able to recover some of the money spent on production rights; we are still looking at aprojected loss of $14,300 in ticket sales. We use this revenue to pay our employees, light our lights, and insure our facility among many other things. As you may be aware,a necessary plumbing excavation and repair bill that could total $40,000 is adding to our expenses. We’re cutting back operational costs at every opportunity, but some expenses simply cannot be paused despite our inability to do business as usual.
Unwavering support from patrons, donors, members, and volunteers keep Riverwalk Theatre thriving in the best of times. However, these are not those times. If you truly find value in what we do,please consider adding your support as we continue to navigate through these challenging times. You can help by sharing how you've found a home with us, and why you continue to support us by renewing your membership, purchasing season ticket packages, and bringing your friends with you to our performances. If you're in a position to do so, please consider increasing your membership level and purchasing gift certificates for friends when we return....and we will return, with a little help from our friends.

From LCC
So sorry for those who have prepared auditions, but for a variety of reasons LCC has decided not to do a Musical in the fall. So auditions are cancelled. We will as always have many performance opportunities next year, and look forward to seeing you all as soon as possible.
Since LCC Summer classes will all be virtual, LCC has decided to cancel its “Summer Under the Stars” outdoor shows.
