As part of a yearlong series of special programming celebrating 50 years of excellence of the College of Arts and Letters (CAL) on the Michigan State University campus, the CAL Marathon will take place on Saturday April 20 and Sunday April 21. The event has been coordinated to showcase the excellent work of students, faculty and organizations housed within the College. Most events are free and all are open to the public.
The College of Arts & Letters at Michigan State University is celebrating 50 years of building cultural change and innovation with students and in the community. Our alumni, students, and faculty have played an integral role in enriching lives and transforming knowledge into action. CAL’s alumni are known to be best-in-class critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, experts in technological know-how, and exceptional communicators across a variety of institutions and industries. CAL’s Marathon showcases such innovation.
Events include performances, lectures, demonstrations, screenings, cultural activities and workshops. Activities for children are also included. Audiences may see a magic show, several free theatrical performances, art exhibitions, and unique creative activities. Most events take place at Wells Hall on the MSU campus. The Information Center for the event as well as the hub for all children’s activities is Room B-106 Wells.
The CAL Marathon begins at 9:00 AM, Saturday, April 20, and ends at 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 21, and includes late-night programming. A full list of events may be accessed at: http://www.cal.msu.edu/calmarathon
