This vehicle showcases some good, naturalistic acting, with characters interesting enough that we want to know “what happens next” — but we don’t find out. Perhaps this non-resolution is a statement about the chaotic nature of life, “disconnection, loneliness, loss of idealism, finding direction, isolation created by technology” (possible themes listed in the director’s note) but it’s challenging for an audience meeting these characters for the first time and working hard to keep the various stories straight. Though the scene changes were remarkably fast and efficient (10 seconds or less) the multiple stories with many, short scenes felt disjointed, like a series of acting exercises. It “leaves you hanging” as I overheard one audience member comment.
