Have you ever wanted to create your own dance piece? This 16 week course will explore the art of designing movement sequences through improvisation and choreographic assignments.
The class meets Monday/Wednesday from 1:40 – 3:30 pm in the Gannon Building, room 372 and runs from August 21, 2014 through December 15, 2014. Prerequisites do exist, however can be waived if you have had some dance experience.

From the Greek, the word choreography means "dance-writing." The word choreography first appeared in the American English dictionary in the 1950s and the word choreographer was first used as a credit for George Balanchine in the Broadway show On Your Toes in 1936.
