Hi Jane, I was referred to you by my colleague Bernie Lucas who told me about your G.L.U.T. List
I am co-directing a musical version of "It's a Wonderful Life" with the Portland Civic Players. The show is scheduled to run December 1,2,3 and 8,9,10. (we are anticipating needing to add an additional performance on December 7 as well.)
We had a pretty good turn-out for auditions, but we are missing a few major roles including the lead role George. If you know of anyone who can sing and act and is looking for some experience with a great theatre group we would love to hear from them. PCP is a great theatre family. Their home, Portland Playhouse, makes up for what it lacks in technical terms with the magic atmosphere of a historical theatre inhabited by community members who take great pride in delivering outstanding theatre.
Rehearsals will be primarily on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00 until approximately 9:00 with greater intensity growing as the show nears. Were pretty good at working with people's schedules. We will be holding our most crucial dress rehearsal on November 19th.
We would love to welcome new people to our theatre program.
