12/7 & 12 - Chad & Amanda DeKatch had the pleasure of working with a writing team this summer developing a new, original children's Christmas musical. It's the story of three kids journeying through a wintry landscape toward the Christmas Castle. Along the way they meet characters from well-known carols like the swans a'swimming, the little drummer boy, and more as they discover the meaning of Christmas and find their way home.
Chad is excited to direct the premiere production of The Christmas Castle at Mount Hope Church this December. The cast features many children who are newcomers to Lansing theatre and Amanda DeKatch will join them on stage to sing the final number.
Performances are December 7 and 12 at 7pm and December 13 at 2pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain and admission is free (offering will be taken). Mount Hope Church is at 202 S. Creyts Road in Lansing. For more information, call 327-HOPE (4673).
