Remember Peppermint Creek's "Never Too Far From Home": a one night only virtual musical fundraiser this Saturday Night April 18!
Join the Peppermint Creek family as we raise money to support Seams Fabric Store, a local organization creating cloth masks for thousands in the Lansing community.
"Never Too Far From Home" will be a one night only musical event that virtually brings together singers from across the globe, all who have a special tie to the Lansing community and to the PCTC stage, to sing a song of their choice, all while raising money for a worthy local cause. Featured singers include: Adam Gwon (composer/lyricist - Ordinary Days), Tigi Habtemariam (Caroline, or Change), Sharrise Hamilton (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Emily McKay (Boy in the Bathroom), Todd Tuchek (Next To Normal), Emma Kron-Deacon (Heathers),Daniel Shafer (The Secret Garden), Jocelyn Scofield (Tick, Tick, BOOM), Amanda & Chad DeKatch (Bright Star, Altar Boyz), Matt Dave Bill (Dogfight), and more!
The concert will take place on Saturday April 18 from 7 - 9:30pmand will be livestreamed from our websiteor on the Peppermint Creek Facebook page. 100% of the donations raised from the concert will go to support Seams Fabric in their work to support the community during the COVID-19 crisis. Find out more about the great work Seam's Fabric is doing during the COVID-19 crisis (and donate early!) on our website. There is no admission to view the virtual concert - all are welcome!
(NOTE:you will want to set your DVR to record the One World Together at Home special on CBS and others 8-10, because it will overlap with this wonderful, unique, local Peppermint event that you won’t want to miss. Maybe you can have one on your laptop and the other on the tv…? Pause and play? Work your tech magic however you can. Who knew we’d be so “busy” when we can’t go out?)
ALSO, Peppermint Creek is keeping in the spirit of The Ghostlight Project, has a wonderful resource linking to other performing arts events and ways to connect at:
